TRACKBLITZ

Privacy Policy

1. Controller

MobX GmbH, Siemensstr. 2, 53121 Bonn, Germany
E-Mail: hello@mobx.games

We are the data controller for the processing described in this policy. This policy applies to TrackBlitz played via trackblitz.mobx.games and as a Discord Activity.

2. Data stored in your browser

TrackBlitz stores the following data exclusively in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly submit a leaderboard score.

You can clear all of this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage, or via the "Reset Data" option in the game's Options screen.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary to provide the game's functionality.

3. Leaderboard

When you complete a race, your result is automatically submitted to the global leaderboard. The following data is stored on our servers (AWS DynamoDB, region eu-central-1):

No email address, IP address, or account information is stored. The player name and tag cannot be traced back to a real identity by us or third parties.

Leaderboard data may be retained indefinitely or reset at our discretion. To request removal of a specific entry, contact us at hello@mobx.games with your player name and tag.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing a competitive leaderboard feature.

4. Multiplayer sessions

When you play in multiplayer mode, your in-game position and movement data is relayed in real time to other players in the same lobby via our server. This data is transient — it is not stored after the session ends. Lobby data (player list, race state) is held in memory for the duration of the session only and deleted automatically afterwards.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary to provide multiplayer functionality.

5. Discord Activity

When you play TrackBlitz as a Discord Activity (embedded in a Discord voice channel), Discord provides us with your Discord display name and Discord user ID for the duration of the session. These are used solely to identify you within the lobby to other players in the same session.

TrackBlitz's use of Discord data is subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy. We do not share Discord user data with any third party.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary to provide the Discord Activity functionality.

6. Server logs

Our hosting infrastructure (AWS) may automatically log standard technical data such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and HTTP status codes for security and diagnostic purposes. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are not used for profiling or marketing.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in maintaining secure and reliable infrastructure.

7. Third-party services

Google Fonts — the game loads the "Press Start 2P" font from Google Fonts. This causes your browser to make a request to Google's servers. Google may process your IP address in connection with this request. See Google's Privacy Policy.

AWS (Amazon Web Services) — our backend infrastructure runs on AWS in the eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) region. See AWS's Privacy Policy.

We use no advertising networks, analytics services, or tracking pixels.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Because TrackBlitz does not collect identifying information, most data cannot be attributed to you by us. For leaderboard entries, you can request deletion by contacting hello@mobx.games with your player name and tag. All locally stored data can be deleted directly by clearing your browser's local storage.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The relevant authority for MobX GmbH is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (ldi.nrw.de).

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the game evolves. The current version is always available at trackblitz.mobx.games/privacy.html.
